Michael is a Vice President of Technology Banking at Silicon Valley Bank's Atlanta Office leading its Early Stage Practice focused on Seed phase through Series A. Before this role, as ATDC’s Investor Relations Manager, he strategically matched portfolio companies to capital through curated investor interactions. Combined with his previous position as COO of the Atlanta Technology Angels, Michael has reviewed thousands of applications for funding and helped companies secure nearly $250MM in angel, seed, and series A capital.
In 2016 he joined as a partner at The Guild, a real estate social enterprise dedicated to creating spaces for change through community based capital models. He has an MBA from Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business and attended the University of Colorado where he double majored in Political Science and Sociology.
Michael serves on various nonprofit boards including Startup Atlanta, LaunchPad2X, and Interfaith Family, while also advising various social entrepreneurs and civic innovators. In his free time you can find him enjoying the outdoors with his wife Kasia, son Milo, and dog Stella either mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, or urban farming at their home in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur, GA.
